1 hour to ride around Stanley Park by bike

Arie and Sandra, English Bay Congo

Hoping to find a hall. . . and what do you know

First full day in Vancouver today.  All that kept coming out my mouth was 'it's so pretty'.

Very modern city.  All glass and high-risers.  Were staying one street back from Robson street which is the central place to be.  Right by the water, with snow capped mountains in the background.

We hired bikes this morning and rode around Stanley Park.  Jaylen was not impressed.  She doesn't like bike riding especially when Adam ends the sojourn with a ride on a four lane freeway!  We did make it back in one piece, JUST.

We then did a spot of shopping down Robson Street.  It gets dark here about 4.30pm which takes some getting used to.

We found a Kingdom Hall on the way home and we had the choice between a meeting tonight or tomorrow night.  We chose tonight and it happened  to be the English Bay congregation. Or as they call it Ebay Congo for short.  Gotta love that.  We met some friends of Annette Hicks, as seen in the above photo.  It was such a lovely congregation.  Really jovial and well humoured.  It was oral review (joked to the kids last week, 'at least we'll miss that')

Were hiring a car tomorrow and were off to Vancouver Island.

  1. Isn't it just so pretty?! Only wish we could have settled there...enjoy Vancouver Island and The Sea to Sky Route is also spectacular! It looks pretty cold but well worth the experience. Talk about extremes...we are having 43 degrees here Friday...eek! Loving your blog! xxxx
